When purchasing a stock putter, the offset is often 0, and the toe hang is a common value set by the manufacturer. While using a bent shaft is cost effective, there are other options available when seeking a custom solution to any golfer's particular needs. Bent shafts can introduce variances in tolerance to any build process, while also limiting a golfer's options for certain unique offsets and balance.
The solution lies in a new hosel for an existing club, which accomplishes the golfer's required offset and balance. Whether flow-neck or plumber's neck, custom offset solutions are always in development for applying a straight shaft, as visualized below.
